Internships
Nicholas Hall is pleased to offer a semester-long internship position at our New York gallery each Spring and Fall. Working across multiple facets of the business, the intern will have a chance to learn about provenance and archival research, art market, conservation and framing, art administration as well as the inner workings of the Old Masters trade.
The gallery strives to provide a well-rounded experience for the intern, providing guidance and support for them to develop art-related interests, build their industry knowledge, and expand their professional network. The internship is best suited for graduate students who have committed to a professional career in academia, commercial gallery, or museum world; occasionally undergraduates in their senior year are also considered. Preference is given to candidates with knowledge and experience working with European Old Master paintings, drawings or sculpture. Our past interns have found employment as specialists at Christie’s and Sotheby’s, museum curatorial staff, winners of competitive scholarships (e.g. Rhodes Scholarship), as well as at Nicholas Hall.
